Background
From Modakeke to the microphone
Sunmibola Oluwafemi Taiwo — known everywhere as Phemmy ONG, D'CoverKing — grew up in Modakeke, Ife, Osun State, in a family of eight, where church, community and music shaped everything.

The story
Background
A home full of voices
One of eight, Phemmy learned early that music was never a solo act. Family singing, choir rehearsals and neighbourhood gatherings became the first stage — long before studios, cameras or streaming platforms entered the picture.
Called, not just talented
The turning point was not a talent show, it was a conviction: that rap could carry scripture, that worship could carry the streets, and that a young man from Modakeke could speak to a generation without diluting the gospel.
Study and discipline
Alongside music, Phemmy studies at Bamidele Olumilua University of Education, Science and Technology, Ikere-Ekiti — balancing academics with writing, recording and ministry, and building the discipline the craft demands.
Triple'B Records
What began as bedroom recordings grew into Triple'B Records — a home for gospel rap, worship and string-led music, and a base for the artists coming behind him.
